Founder, CoachThe Akademy Sports founder Katie Baron.
Since playing at the collegiate level, Katie saw the need for high level softball training and clinics with previous and current college players and coaches. She brings this vision to life at 168 Tennent Road, Morganville.
While at Monmouth, Katie contributed to leading the Hawks to the school’s first ever MAAC Conference Championship, and regional appearance. In 2018, Katie ranked #38 nationally in batting average, and was selected to the NFCA All-Region and All-ECAC First Team. Katie ranked top-3 in the MAAC Conference in hits, RBI, doubles, total bases, slugging percentage, and on base percentage. During her time at Monmouth, Katie played many positions such as Pitcher, Catcher, IF and OF.
Before Monmouth, Katie attended St. John Vianney High School in Holmdel, NJ. She helped lead the Lancers to two State Championships, three Shore Conference Championships, three South Jersey Parochial “A” Titles, three Division Championships and three Monmouth County Championships.
Katie Currently works at a Marketing Agency in NYC and gives private lessons

Coach
Ally Hochstadter is in her senior year at Quinnipiac University, where she is also pursuing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. As dedicated and versatile player, Ally brings extensive experience to the field with a background in both catching and outfield. At the plate, Ally is a lefty power hitter.
Prior to college, she was a four-year varsity starter and three-year captain at Marlboro High School, earning All-State, All-Conference, and All-Division honors.
Beyond athletics, Ally is deeply passionate about strength and conditioning, combining her knowledge of human performance with her academic training to support both personal and team development on and off the field.

Margaux Lesser available for private and team trainings.
Margaux brings many years of high level playing and coaching experience to the table. From being an outstanding athlete herself; at the DI & DIII levels, she stays involved in college athletics today on the academic support staff at Rutger’s University.
Margaux shares her love of the game with younger players through small group clinics and lessons. Her diverse knowledge of the recruiting process and training make her a phenomenal example for those aspiring to play at a higher level. Margo received the Rawling’s Golden Glove Award in 2023 with a .980 fielding percentage.

Baseball Coach
Joseph Rotelli, a standout athlete and dedicated leader, etched his name into the annals of high school baseball history by leading the 2014 Saint John Vianney High School team to their second state title. Born with an innate passion for the sport, Rotelli's journey to success was marked by dedication, perseverance, and a remarkable talent that set him apart.
Rotelli's early years in the baseball world were shaped by his education at Carson Newman University in Tennessee, where he honed his skills and laid the foundation for a promising career. His journey continued at Brookdale Community College, a pivotal step that further fueled his passion and commitment to the game. It was at Dominican College in Blauvelt, New York, where Rotelli concluded his collegiate baseball career, leaving an indelible mark on the field.
The pinnacle of Rotelli's high school career came in 2014 when he led the Saint John Vianney High School baseball team to their second state title. His exceptional leadership both on and off the field played a pivotal role in the team's success. Known for his strategic mindset, exceptional batting prowess, and commanding presence, Rotelli emerged as a driving force for the squad.
Rotelli's individual achievements during his high school tenure were nothing short of remarkable. In 2014, he earned the prestigious title of MSG Varsity Player of the Year, a testament to his outstanding performance and impact on the game. Ranked 3rd overall in the state of New Jersey, Rotelli's prowess was recognized not only by his peers but also by scouts and recruiters, marking him as one of the most highly sought-after players coming out of high school.
His journey from Carson Newman University to Brookdale Community College and ultimately to Dominican College showcased his unwavering commitment to his craft. Rotelli's success wasn't just a result of natural talent; it was a product of hard work, dedication, and a genuine love for the game. His legacy at Saint John Vianney High School and beyond continues to inspire aspiring baseball players, serving as a testament to the transformative power of passion and perseverance in the world of sports.

Ava Metzger is a right handed pitcher that recently graduated from Manhattan University. She will be playing a 5th year at Marist University.
While at Manhatthan, Ava earned the 2022 MAAC all rookie team for her efforts in the circle. Unfortunately, she was unable to play sophomore and senior year due to injury.
Ava received a bachelors of science in childhood education with a concentration in psychology and general science. She is pursuing a masters degree from marist in contemporary curriculum and instruction.
Before Manhattan, Ava played at Colts Neck Hight school. She was the 2021 NJ Gatorade player of the year and NJ.com player of the year.

Jess Carlucci - Wagner College
The former Seahawks catcher had multiple starting seasons behind the plate. Know for her clutch RBIs, power at the plate, and leadership on defense throughout her college career.
Jess is available for hitting, catching, and fielding lessons.
